Social but are u secure!

Only a very few are talking or following the steps among the most bothered but not  following it frequently to protect themselves against online crime - survey report released on Wednesday.

Analysis report:
Only one one-third taking precautions
64 % changes their password infrequently or never
57 % adjust their privacy settings infrequently or never
90 %  not reporting problems to their social network administrator.
20 % accept contact offerings from members they do not recognize

Donovan Neale-May, executive director of the CMO Council said that, as social networking populations grow globally and the proliferation of niche social networks and mobile offerings extends the reach of social communities, the threats and vulnerabilities are escalating accordingly.

Nearly 20 % of those surveyed said they have experienced identity theft, 47 % have been victims of malware infections and 55 % have seen "phishing" attacks, in which hackers seek to capture password information.
The history of websites visited should be cleared at least once a week.
