How to open Internet Explorer in KIOSK Mode

Do you know about Kiosk Mode in Internet Explorer? No? It’s okay. A mode lets you access only Web pages is known as Kiosk Mode. In this article, we have given the detail steps to use the Kiosk Mode feature in the Internet Explorer. Title bar, Menu, Toolbars and status bar will not be displayed and the Internet explorer will run in Full Screen Mode. Moreover, you can switch to other running Programs by just pressing ALT+TAB or CTRL+ALT+DEL.




How to use the Kiosk Mode in Internet Explorer
•    Click on Start, choose Run and type the command “iexplore -k page” and then press Enter key. Instead you can press “Windows Key + R Key” to open Run Command.
•    Here the Page is the web page address for the Web pages that you want to open when the Internet Explorer starts. If you don’t specify the Web page in the Open box, Internet Explorer will open the Start page.
•    For example, if you want to open the web site in Kiosk mode, click Start, Run and then type iexplore -k www. in the Open run command box.
•    At the same time, if you want to open Internet Explorer in the Kiosk Mode and start the Internet Explorer with the Example.htm web page, which is located in the My Documents folder on the Computer, click Start, Run, and then type "iexplore -k c:\my documents\example.htm" in the Open box.
•    Moreover, if you want to open Internet Explorer in the Kiosk Mode and start the Internet Explorer with the Example.htm web page, which is located on the another Computer or in a network, type “iexplore -k \\server\share\example.htm” in the Run command box.
•    Here, Server and Share are the network server and share in which the Webpage is located.
•    Whereas, you can quit the Kiosk Mode, just by pressing Alt+F4. Remember, if you don’t quit Kiosk Mode, you can’t quit Internet Explorer.
