How to create shortcut keys for a program in Windows 7

If you’re aware of built-in Shortcuts of Windows, you can save the precious time from annoyance of performing manually. In our blog, already we have discussed about the Shortcut Keys of the Windows 7 Operating System. However, this is a new way to create your own shortcut for the Windows tasks.

In order to make this work simpler, a Software available called WinKey lets you create Keyboard Shortcuts. Therefore, you can use this tool for your favorite programs and even more you can change the default Shortcut keys of the Windows.
You can get a detail list of the Shortcuts at the startup of the program. If you want to make a new shortcut in the Computer, all you have to do is just click Add. Then, you will get a new window with a blank selection menu. Now, you have to select the Command for which you want to use a shortcut. If you want to do this, click the icon that looks like a piece of paper. Now, you will get a file selection menu.
Then, navigate to the Program Files folder and select the program that is to be set for a shortcut key. We have given an example for creating Shortcut key for Paint Shop Pro. Therefore, you can select the Paint Shop Pro EXE file and click Open. Now, you can view the Paint Shop Pro icon at the top of the Shortcut Properties box.

Thereafter, select the Shortcut combination in order to open the program. To do that, click on the down arrow next to the Shortcut Key. It will display all of the combination of the Shortcut keys. Now, you need to choose any Combination that you want to have. Here we have selected Windows Key + F2.

Click the drop-down menu arrow next to Run and select the program to open in a normal Window, one that is maximized or that is minimized.
Now, just click on OK. Then, you will the new shortcut display in the WinKey menu. If you want to test the Shortcut you’ve created, just press the Key Combination you have assigned for the program.

Moreover, if you want to change the current shortcut, you can do it at any time. It is possible by selecting the Shortcut and clicking Properties as everything is customizable. This WinKey Software is compatible with the Windows Vista Operating System and the Windows 7 Operating System.

At the same time, the Developer of the Software says, it is compatible with all versions of the Windows Operating Systems. In addition, it is a small size downloadable file (1MB) and available for free download.
