How to select text precisely in MS Word and PowerPoint

If you’re using the drag feature of the Mouse to select the text MS Word or PowerPoint, the selection will be extended by a complete word at a time (rather than by a character at a time). We know this is one of the simplest and the handy features. However, some users don’t like this feature. This article will be very useful for them to change the procedure.

To come out of this issue, you can configure Word or PowerPoint to make the selections more precise. All you have to do is click on File, select Backstage View and then select Options. Now, select Advanced from the Options.
Then, under Editing Options, clear When Selecting, Automatically Select Entire Word. That’s it. All it is done now.
