Tips: Connecting a computer to a wireless printer in Windows 7

In this article, we are going to discuss about setting up the wireless printer that brings the basic functionality for you. If you wish to have more functionality like scanning or monitoring the printer ink, you can install the software shipped with the printer. Please make sure that the computer is connected to the wireless network to follow this procedure.



•    First, make sure that the printer is connected to your wireless access point or the router.
•    Then, click on the start button and then select the Devices and Printers option.
•    Now, it is required to select the “Add a printer” option in the “Devices and printer” window.



•    Then, click Add a network, wireless or the Bluetooth printer.
•    You can select the printer that you want to add and click on Next.



•    Then, you can type any name for the printer and then click the Next button.
•    Now, it is required to select Share this printer from the Printer Sharing Window.



•    Therefore, others on your network will be able to find the printer.
•    Once you’ve selected, click the Next button.





•    All it is done. You’ve successfully setup the printer wirelessly.
•    If you wish, you can click the “Print a test page” button to check if it is working fine.
