Troubleshoot: How to adjust the Virtual Memory of Windows 7

Virtual Memory it is an unavoidable word in the Windows Operating System. We’ll keep getting an error message that “System Virtual Memory is low”. Most of the times, the message irritates and prevents us from doing our routine work. Now, let’s discuss about adjusting the Virtual Memory of the computer to kick the error message out.
Before adjusting the Virtual Memory, note that changing the Virtual Memory settings of the computer will prompt you to restart it. Therefore, please make sure that you’ve saved all your data and closed the opened applications.
Now, let’s go with the steps.
•    First, open the Control Panel by clicking on the Start button.

•    Now, select System and Maintenance from the Control Panel.
•    Then, select System in the System and Maintenance window (In some versions you view the System window in the Control Panel).

•    In the System window, it is required to Advanced System settings.
•    Now, select the Settings tab of the performance category in the Advanced tab.
•    In the Advanced tab, you can select Change.

•    Now, it is required to remove the tick mark by the “Automatically manage paging files for all drives” option.
•    Now, select the Custom Size option and enter the virtual memory as you wish to have.

•    Then, it is required to click OK the option on all the opened windows.

•    Now, it is required to restart the computer for the changes to take the effect and make your work successful.
•    All it is set now. You’ve successfully adjusted the virtual memory of the computer.
