Gmail: Click to call phone numbers

This is another feature of Gmail as with the ability to call phones built right into Gmail, it is not required to get out of your phone and retype a number anytime someone sends you one in an e-mail or chat message. From today, you can see that the phone numbers appear as links as shown below.

All you’ve to do is click the number and the Gmail’s dialpad will popup with the number you’ve already populated. Now, click “Call” and voila! If you don’t already have the voice and video plugin installed, you’ll be prompted to do that first.



Moreover, you can also see a little green phone icon next to numbers in your contacts which you can use to dial and contact others. Have a look at the images shown in the article.
