Tips: How to use Google’s Cleaner Interface in the browsers

Yesterday, we’ve discussed about the Google’s Cleaner Interface. Now, let’s try doing it. If you change the NID value of a Google Cookie to get the same interface.
Now, let’s check doing it in Chrome:

1.    First, it is required to install "Edit this Cookie", a cookie manager for Chrome.
2.    Then, it is required to open the Google's homepage and click the yellow cookie icon from Chrome's toolbar.
3.    After that, it’s required to find the lines that start with NID and then click it.
4.    Now, select the value (Ctrl-A or Command-A for Mac), delete it, paste the following value (use Ctrl-V or Command-V for Mac) and click "Submit cookie changes"

Now, let’s check doing it in Firefox:

1. As in Chrome, it is required to install Cookies Manager+ and restart the browser.

2. Now, open the Google's homepage.

3. After that, it is required to press Alt-T and select "Cookies Manager+".
4. Now, you'll also find the option in the "Web Developer" item of Firefox's unified menu.
5. Then, search for and find the entry named "NID".
6. Make sure that you’re using your country’s domain like for the UK.
7.  Then, click “Edit” to replace the content with the following command.

The above steps aren’t applicable for the Opera browser as it already has a cookie manager that lets you edit cookie values. All it is required to do is going to the Google’s home page, right click on the page, select "Edit site preferences", go to the "Cookies" tab and edit the item that starts with "NID". If you share the “NID” value, it will allow other people to try an experimental Google interface. Therefore, the next time when you find an interface that looks different and you send a tip to, you can also include the NID value of your Google cookie.

In case, Google keeps changing the “NID” value, you can’t use the experimental interface for too long. Therefore, delete your Google cookies and start again. If you don’t wish to have the interface and you wish to go back to the regular UI, you can remove the “NID” key or delete its value using the cookie manager.
Okay, finally. For the users of latest Internet Explorer, there are no updated cookies found. Therefore, stay tuned with us for the updates.
